    What CHflat offers tenants, landlords and property managers.

    CHflat is free of charge and commission-free for all users. There are no paid subscriptions, no contact fees and no paid add-on packages. Operations are funded by voluntary donations. There is no paid ranking and no preferred placement in exchange for payment. CHflat supports landlords with matching and structured information. CHflat makes no automated decision about which applicant gets a flat. Matching only assesses the fit between search preferences and a flat; personal characteristics such as nationality, residence status or debt enforcement status are not used to prioritise applicants.     Tenants: Living ID (profile & dossier)

    Free. A digital application profile for finding a home in Switzerland.

    • Document storage for application documents such as ID and debt-collection extract.
    • Affordability hint based on the common rule of thumb (rent vs. income) for orientation only, without automated decisions.
    • Search profile and optional email apartment alert, only if you switch it on yourself.
    • Dossier shared with landlords only with your explicit consent.

    Tenants: applications & flat exchange

    Free. Applications, viewings and flat exchange without fees.

    • Apply to listings and book viewing slots.
    • Publish search requests to which landlords can offer suitable apartments.
    • Flat-exchange profile to find suitable exchange partners.

    Private landlords

    Free. List and find tenants without listing fees, commission or contact fees.

    • Create, edit and publish listings.
    • Active Discovery: view matching search profiles and invite tenants.
    • Access to dossiers only after approval by the tenant; access is logged.
    • The landlord always makes the tenant selection personally.

    Property managers

    Free. Property managers use the same features as private landlords, without licence fees.

    • Manage multiple listings.
    • Applications, invitations and viewings in one place.
    • Send rejections using templates.

    Funding & donations

    CHflat is operated by the CHflat Association and funded by voluntary donations. Donations are voluntary and have no influence on visibility, matching or selection.
